	World Diversity Patterns Er wonen ongeveer zes miljard mensen op aarde. Ongeveer 2/3 daarvan is Aziaat en zij wonen op minder dan 1/3 van het land. Slechts 5% van de wereldbevolking woont in Noord-Amerika. Linguïsten schatten dat de wereldburgers vijf- tot zesduizend talen spreken. De meest gesproken taal is Mandarijn Chinees, gevolgd door Hindi en Engels is de derde taal.

	Magenta Magenta is een stichting die zich bezighoudt met de bestrijding van racisme, fascisme en andere vormen van discriminatie. Sinds 1997 voornamelijk op en via Internet.
	I CARE ICARE is the information disseminator for the European NGO-community working in the field of anti-discrimination, diversity and migration, with a focus on anti-racism. ICARE started in 1999 to inform the (European) NGOs and facilitate discussion about the UN WCAR and the preparatory process.  ICARE is a partnership between UNITED for Intercultural Action & Magenta Foundation
	United for Intercultural Action An European network which has over 550 organisations from 49 European countries cooperating together for the rights of refugees and migrants and to combat racism, nationalism and discrimination.

	Kennisnet Integratiebeleid en Etnische Minderheden Het Kennisnet Integratiebeleid en Etnische Minderheden (KIEM) is in 2003 opgericht en ondergebracht bij het kenniscentrum Grote Steden en wordt uitgevoerd in samenwerking met het ministerie van Justitie. Het kenniscentrum heeft sinds zijn oprichting ruime ervaring opgedaan in het vormgeven van kennisnetwerken op het gebied van het grotestedenbeleid. KIEM heeft twee speerpunten uit het integratiebeleid voor etnische minderheden meegekregen: · speerpunt 1 "Inburgering": inburgering moet gepositioneerd worden als een continu proces. Dit is vooral ingegeven door het feit dat de instroom van blijvende aard is en deze instroom vooral in de grote steden groot is en zal blijven. · speerpunt 2 "Preventiebeleid": in de jaren 2001 t/m 2004 voeren 38 gemeenten preventieprojecten uit met als doel marginalisering en voorkomen van criminaliteit onder jeugd van 0-25 jaar uit etnische minderheden. Daarnaast hebben deze projecten bevordering van integratie van deze doelgroep ten doel.

	Lawyers for Human Rights Lawyers for Human Rights is a non-governmental organisation that strives to promote, uphold and strenghthen human rights. The organisation has had a proud history since its inception in 1979 of fighting oppression and the abuse of human rights in South Africa. Almost all of the staff at the head office in Pretoria and its regional offices were active participants in voter education and monitoring in the run up to the historic 1994 elections.
	World Population Foundation WPF (de World Population Foundation) is een Nederlandse non profit organisatie die zich inzet voor de verbetering van reproductieve en seksuele gezondheid in ontwikkelingslanden. WPF steunt lokale organisaties in ontwikkelingslanden die informatie en voorzieningen over seksualiteit en voorplanting toegankelijk maken voor jongeren en kansarmen, zodat vrije keuze voor iedereen mogelijk wordt, men ongewenste zwangerschap en besmetting met AIDS kan leren voorkomen en niet aan zwangerschap hoeft te sterven.

	The Electronic Intifadah The Electronic Intifada (EI) is a not-for-profit, independent publication committed to comprehensive public education on the question of Palestine, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the economic, political, legal, and human dimensions of Israel's 37-year occupation of Palestinian territories. EI provides a needed supplement to mainstream commercial media representations of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

		United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights The mission of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is to protect and promote all human rights for all. OHCHR is guided in its work by the Charter of the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and subsequent human rights instruments, and the 1993 Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action. The promotion of universal ratification and implementation of human rights treaties is at the forefront of OHCHR activities. OHCHR aims to ensure the practical implementation of universally recognized human rights norms. It is committed to strengthening the United Nations human rights programme and providing the United Nations treaty monitoring bodies and special mechanisms established by the Commission on Human Rights with the highest quality support. OHCHR bases itself on the principle that human rights are universal, indivisible, interdependent and interrelated.  All rights civil, cultural, economic, political and social - should be given equal emphasis, and promoted and protected without any discrimination. The realization and enjoyment of all rights for women and men must be ensured on a basis of equality.
		United Nations High  Commissioner for Refugees The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was established on December 14, 1950 by the United Nations General Assembly. The agency is mandated to lead and co-ordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide. Its primary purpose is to safeguard the rights and well-being of refugees. It strives to ensure that everyone can exercise the right to seek asylum and find safe refuge in another State, with the option to return home voluntarily, integrate locally or to resettle in a third country. In more than five decades, the agency has helped an estimated 50 million people restart their lives. Today, a staff of around 5,000 people in more than 120 countries continues to help some 20 million persons.

Opvoedingsondersteuning
		JSO expertisecentrum voor jeugd, samenleving en opvoeding Op 1 januari 2004 zijn S&O stichting voor opvoedings- ondersteuning en ZOK, Zuidhollandse Ondersteunings- organisatie Kinderopvang samengevoegd tot één organisatie. Voortaan is JSO expertisecentrum voor jeugd, samenleving en opvoeding de nieuwe naam. Of gewoon JSO. Een nieuwe naam met een nieuw gezicht. Samen met beleidsmakers en mensen uit de praktijk werken we aan een samenleving waarin kinderen en jongeren zich optimaal kunnen ontwikkelen.

Ontwikkelingssamenwerking
		NOVIB Novib is in 1956 opgericht als de Nederlandse Organisatie voor   Internationale ontwikkelingssamenwerking. Meer dan veertig jaar ervaring met duizenden projecten in de Derde Wereld heeft Novib een  manier van werken opgeleverd die we de Novib Methode noemen.
		ICCO ICCO, Interkerkelijke organisatie voor ontwikkelingssamenwerking, zet zich in voor een wereld zonder armoede of onrecht. ICCO financiert activiteiten in ontwikkelingslanden, die mensen stimuleren en in staat stellen om, op hun eigen manier, een menswaardige leefomgeving in te richten. ICCO werkt aan structurele armoedebestrijding en doet dit op basis van protestants-christelijke waarden.
		CARE CARE Nederland is een in Den Haag gevestigde onafhankelijke Nederlandse stichting met als statutaire doelstelling: het ondersteunen van mensen in een levensbedreigende situatie ten gevolge van noodsituaties. Zij is met name werkzaam op het gebied van natuurrampen, vluchtelingenhulp, op het gebied van wederopbouw in door oorlog geteisterde landen en op het gebied van rampenmanagement. CARE Nederland streeft naar een wereld waar mensen in veiligheid, waardigheid en duurzame vrede kunnen leven. CARE Nederland gelooft in het vermogen van slachtoffers van rampen om hun ellende te overwinnen.
		Personele Samenwerking Ontwikkelingsamenwerking (PSO) Door capaciteitsopbouw van maatschappelijke organisaties in ontwikkelingslanden wil PSO een bijdrage leveren aan structurele armoedebestrijding. PSO werkt hieraan door Nederlandse organisaties en hun partners in ontwikkelingslanden te ondersteunen met kennisontwikkeling en financiering.
		Nederlands instituut voor Zuidelijk Afrika  Het Nederlands instituut voor Zuidelijk Afrika (NiZA), opgericht in 1997, is een onafhankelijk instituut dat bijdraagt aan de informatieverstrekking en de meningsvorming over de regio Zuidelijk Afrika. Daarnaast steunt NiZA projecten in Zuidelijk Afrika met geld uit het  NiZA-fonds en bemiddelt NiZA voor verdere projectondersteuning.
