Refugees in South Africa receive no support from the government. They are not allowed to work till half a year after receipt of a permit to stay. They have to use their talent and creativity to gain an income. CBRC organises activities and training to improve the opportunities of refugees like catering courses, music and dance groups.. and soccer.. CBRC has a soccer team of top players from Africa that had to flee their country. Samora consultancy supported the soccer team of CBRC, to make sure that they could show their talents in matches against well respected South African teams. The name Samora's African Stars reflects the co-operation.

Third World Shop ReeuwijkIntroduction of a new sales concept
The Third World Shop sells original gifts
and products from other cultures. The products have been made with respect
for people and environment. The producers, like the silver smiths and the
coffee farmers receive a fair price, which gives them the opportunity to lead
a dignified live.
The Third World Shop Reeuwijk aims to contribute to fair trade by paying fair prices directly to the producers. The shop is run by volunteers. It is the turnover of products that counts, because it contributes to a stronger position of the producers in the developing countries. To make the shop look more attractive for the customers a new house style was introduced. Samora consultancy paid for the costs of the needed materials. |
