Husam Aqiqi was born in Bagdad (Iraq) in 1946. He lived and worked in Tripoli (Libya) from 1981 until 1999, after fleeing for prosecution by the Saddam Hussein regime. When the Libyan leader Khadaffi launched a xenophobia campaign, Husam and his family had to flee again. Now he works and lives in the Netherlands. Below you will find a selection of his work from the period 1972 to present.
